Class A100D3 is an integrated amplifier, designed to deliver a very high quality sound to your loudspeakers. Class A100 D3 provides you with the possibility to in a simple way choose between class A operation for optimal sound quality or class AB for high power operation. A sturdy and technically advanced product provides the perfect balance between great performance and long life. This ensures pleasant and untroubled use for many, many years.

Construction
When building an amplifier, the engineer has to choose between Class A (for best sound) and Class AB (for best efficiency and more output power)

The technical solution we chose is a combination of both Class A and AB. You get the best from both worlds. Class A100 DII has an improved circuit design which leads to a better sound.

Class A or Class AB
Class A100D3 is designed to allow you to choose between class A and class AB operation. For maximal power you choose class AB, and for optimal sound you choose class A.

These different operation modes can easily be selected on the remote control. Also available is an automatic mode where the amplifier alters between class A and AB by itself, depending on its temperature.

Technical presentation
The amplifier is very well equipped for optimum sound quality. All input and loudspeaker terminals are gold-plated and of the highest quality. The strong ring-core transformer provides the highly efficient current supply. Four output transistors per channel (a total of eight) make sure the amplifier manages to take care of even very high current output. The switching between inputs / sources is made by contact relays which provides low distorsion and the shortest possible distance for the signal.
Most of the important parts in Class A-100 D3 are now shielded, to avoid interference and hum.

 

The cabinet
The new design gives the amplifier a modern, but esthetic look. It is still mostly made from aluminium. This leads to a more solid cabinet and an high quality impression. Interference is effectively shielded and the aluminium contributes to the heat dissipation. The volume control maintains a perfect balance between the channels, whatever lever you choose.

The volume knob is made from lathed aluminium. The switch and the remote control are made from aluminum.

 

Phono amplifier
Many of our customers have asked for a phono amplifier on Class A100 DII, so we have put a phono amplifier on the Class A-100 D3.

Usage
Class A100 D3 has the possibility of powering other amplifiers, due to the volume controlled pre out, which can be used for bi-amping. The Class A 100DII has two seperate SUB-outputs to connect to active subwoofers.
